On May 24, 2024, a meeting of the board of health care management of Volyn Oblast was held at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
Government representatives, heads of medical institutions, doctors and, of course, Lesya's people with their leader Anatolii Tsos, gathered at the event. Head of Supervisory Board of the University, People's Deputy of Ukraine Iryna Konstankevych took part in the collegium. The location of the event was Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University Library.
The meeting was opened by Yurii Lehkodukh, Head of Health Care Department of Volyn Regional State Administration, noting the development of Medical Faculty. "We deliberately decided to hold the collegium here, because the University has the actively developing Medical Faculty. I think that not all of you have visited this faculty. However, the breakthrough and the progress they have made in recent years is remarkable."
After that, thematic reports were held. In particular, Dean of Medical Faculty, Andriy Poruchinskyi, spoke about the cooperation between Health Care Department of Regional State Administration, communal health care facilities and Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
"It is very important that we are supported at different levels of government. Iryna Myroslavivna Konstankevich continues this work now as Head of Supervisory Board. Thank you all for your support," summed up the dean of the faculty.
Andriy Poruchynskyi noted that the University, in particular Medical Faculty, concluded 20 agreements with health care institutions of the region. In addition, the head of the specialised faculty announced a positive decision regarding the licensing of the occupational therapy specialty. "I hope for active cooperation," concluded Andriy Poruchynskyi.
"Volyn region is said to be having the health care sector at the proper level. I want to thank everyone who supported the idea of creating Medical Faculty, because this idea is not really easy to implement. However, without a health care system communicating with education, it is impossible to talk about the quality development of our region," summed up Head of Supervisory Board of the University, People's Deputy Iryna Konstankevych.
Rector Anatolii Tsos thanked all authorities and medical representatives for close communication and cooperation. According to him, a higher education establishment can be successful only when it cooperates with various organisations and institutions. Anatolii Tsos spoke about the development of Medical Faculty, continued improvement of the material and technical base, and also emphasized the relevance of specialties of Medical Faculty.
Olha Shulha, coordinator of the expert group of the regional state administration's health care department in the field of "Neurology", Senior Lecturer of Department of Clinical Medicine, spoke about compliance with the requirements of regional routes in the field of "Medical assistance in acute cerebral stroke".
Leaders and representatives of medical institutions of the region reported on professional issues. At the end, the visit to Medical Faculty of our university was provided.
