On December 12, 2024, the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University delegation visited the Council of the European Union and the European Council. The participants had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of these key EU institutions, their role and powers in the formation and implementation of European policy.
As part of the visit, the delegation attended a presentation on the functions and significance of the European Council as one of the main bodies of the EU. Special attention was paid to the issue of security and defence. The current state of relations between Ukraine and the EU was also examined in detail. The speaker was José Augusto De Sales Pimentel Furtado, Political Administrator of the Security and Crisis Management Department.
The Volyn National University delegation’s educational visit continues, opening up new opportunities for the international cooperation and development of professional competencies.
The event was organised by Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University together with the President of the «Ukraine in Europe» International NGO Volodymyr Poselskyi.
