On March 28, 2025, during Career Forum at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, a meeting of journalism and advertising students took place with Spokesman for Operational Command "West" of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleh Dombrovskyi, and Public Relations Department Officer of Communications Department of Operational Command "West" of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Volodymyr Danyliuk.

The speakers highlighted the challenges arising for communicators in wartime: covering hot topics, audience reaction, reputational risks.
Colonel O. Dombrovskyi emphasized that the army is an integral part of the society, and military communications play a key role in building trust between the citizens and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that mobilisation is one of the most difficult topics to cover, as it causes strong emotional reactions in society. The main task of military spokespersons is to honestly inform the population, even when the truth is inconvenient.

Major V. Danyliuk emphasized that communication in the modern information space requires not only efficiency, but also a deep understanding of the audience. He noted that critical thinking and media literacy of the citizens are an important component of the country's information security.
