Mr. Irvanets’ came to Lutsk with the presentation of two books. The first one is a book of poems The Songs of War, and the second one is his translation of the play The Highest Buildings, The Deepest Graves by Janusz Głowacki. The Songs of War is the 26th author's collection of works, and The Highest Buildings, The Deepest Graves is the 8th translation of fiction in the author's heritage.

On November, 17, 2014, the most important people in the EENU – its students – celebrated their professional holiday in a highly professional way.

The morning began with a solemn service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral. The Metropolitan Bishop of Lutsk and Volyn Mykhayil wished students to find their mission in this world, multiply their God bestowed talents and work together for the good of Ukraine.

 Students at Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, having immersed in daily routine, do not forget even for a moment about the people whom they owe their peaceful life to — the ATO soldiers. The caring youth of our University gathered sweet gifts for courageous defenders of our Fatherland, as well as themed pictures, blue and yellow ribbons, reeled dolls (“motankas”) which are amulets against the evil forces, and an icon of St. George, in order to maintain the morale of our soldiers. We strongly believe that together we will win!

The delegation from Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University headed by Rector Ihor Kotsan took part in second ATHENA training seminar on university autonomy and governance in the framework of the Tempus programme. The seminar was held at the University of Coimbra and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra in Portugal on 3-4 November 2014. On 7 November 2014, Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University started a new époque of collaboration with foreign institutions of higher education – the Ukrainian-Baltic cooperation. Thus, a round table was held in the library EENU, which was dedicated to the issue of “Ukrainian-Baltic cooperation in higher education”. The participants of the round table included vice-rectors and scientists from higher educational institutions from Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Ukraine.
